Yes folks, it’s an auspicious one for the Hart, and all its four legged friends…within the Chinese Zodiac, the Dog is a true companion, associated with loyalty, honesty, intelligence, and a strong sense of right and wrong. Well, we’d agree with that… you should see Ava’s face is another dog gets a biscuit and she doesn’t. These qualities will pervade events this year which may mean people rallying together to fight for a common cause, whether via national politics or just local community work and random acts of kindness. Could we request the latter? Beer and politics are not great bedfellows.
So – for this Friday 16th February and this Friday alone – we are not cooking Pizza but present for your delectation and delight, a random selection of dishes from a few of the countries celebrating today.

Onto Singapore for some King Prawn and Coconut Laksa – a creamy, spicy soup with rice noodles and vegetables £6 starter £10 main
Next stop Malaysia where we find Chicken Rendang with turmeric rice – a deep, rich, glossy dish that’s quite spicy!
